Sludge Concentration Online Sensor adopts the infrared light scattering method. When the incident light enters the water, it is scattered by the sludge particles. The intensity of the scattered light detected at a specific angle is proportional to the sludge concentration, allowing accurate measurement of sludge content in the water.
Infrared Scattering Light Technology
A beam of infrared light is directed into the sample solution, where it is scattered by suspended sludge particles, as illustrated below. The infrared light source and the detector are positioned at a fixed angle. The intensity of the scattered light received by the detector correlates with the sludge concentration in the water. By measuring this scattering intensity, the sludge concentration in the water can be accurately calculated.
